At the Daisy Hill Koala Centre, you can see Koalas completely for free.

2. Go for a swim

Want to go for a swim? Then you should go to Streets Beach at South Bank!

Here you'll find a beautiful man-made beach with blue water surrounded by white-sand beaches and tropical plants. Moreover, you can go here completely for free!

3. Relax at the South Bank Parklands

For one of the best parks in the city, go to the South Bank Parklands.

Here you can relax or enjoy nature in another way.

Furthermore, you'll find here restaurants, a Ferris wheel, a promenade, and many more things.

At City Sounds you find a great live music program where you listen to beautiful concerts at several venues throughout the city.

Therefore, this is one of the best free things to do in Brisbane for those who love music!

Looking for modern art in Brisbane? Then head to the Gallery of Modern Art!

Here you'll find beautiful artworks from all over the world. Furthermore, there is no admission fee!

6. Tour the parliament house

Each weekday free public tours are offered at the Queensland Parliament.

Through these tours, you will learn more about the building and its workings.

7. Go to the Queensland Art Gallery

The Queensland Art Gallery can be visited completely for free.

Here you'll find a great collection of all kinds of artworks in all kinds of forms.

Moreover, you'll find art from all over the world, including Australian, Asian, and Pacific art. This is very interesting to see!

8. Get a view and learn about history

At the City Hall clock tower, you can get a great view of the city and get a sense of the history of the City Hall.

Also, you can use the lift to get to the top! Entry is free, but you'll need to get a ticket at the Museum of Brisbane reception counter!

9. Enjoy a free boat ride

You can hop on/off the CityHopper, which is a ferry that runs along 8 stops on the Brisbane River and it's so much fun!

Furthermore, the boat is a great way to move through the city, and it is completely free!

10. See another free museum

Another great museum that you can visit for free is the Museum of Brisbane.

It is the best place to learn about the history of Brisbane, but also about its present.

There are many objects on display here and there are also many tours, talks, and workshops throughout the year.

11. Walk to King Island

From Wellington Point, you can walk to King Island at low tide.

It is a short route (about 1 kilometer) and a great experience! However, be prepared to get your feet wet!

12. Do a free walking tour

The Brisbane Greeters are volunteers that are happy to show you around the city.

You can do a walk in the city in which you will learn about Brisbane at the hand of a local guide!
