2. Tour the Garden District

The Garden District is a beautiful neighborhood in New Orleans.

When you are in the city, you should definitely go here and walk around a bit!

The architecture of the houses, together with the large gardens (where the neighborhood got its name from), is very beautiful to see.

Also, there are many historical buildings, such as the Adam-Jones House, which are just very interesting to see!

3. Attend the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival

New Orleans is known for its music and what better way to experience this than to go to the New Orleans Jazz and Heritage Festival? This is a great festival that is held every year in April and May.

Here you can listen to many music performances in styles that are associated with the city, such as blues, R&B, gospel, jazz, and many more!

Both lesser-known and very famous artists have performed here in the past.

4. See the National WW2 Museum

Another great museum in the city is the National WW2 Museum.

5. Visit the Cabildo

The Cabildo is the building that used to be the city hall of colonial Spain located at Jackson Square. It is a very impressive building with an interesting history.

6. Visit the French Quarter

Another great neighborhood in New Orleans is the French Quarter.

It is the oldest neighborhood in the city. It was created by the French when they held territory in Louisiana.

The streets were named after French royal houses and other important french things, and the buildings were made in French architectural style.

Nowadays, you can still see many remains from this time, which is just very wonderful to see!

Furthermore, the street looks beautiful and you find here many of the most photogenic places in New Orleans.
