1. National Museum

The National Museum is one of the largest museums in the Czech Republic and houses almost 14 million different items. The collection is very diverse and consists out of items from the natural sciences, historical objects, books, asian art, african and american cultural objects and music-related objects. If you want to see a museum that has many things, go to the National Museum!

Also, a visit to the National Museum is one of the best thing to do in Prague.

2. Jewish Museum in Prague

At the Jewish Museum in Prague you can learn all about Jewish heritage in Prague. The museum has a lot of ritual Jewish art, in fact, it is one of the largest collections of this kind in the world. The museums consists of 6 Jewish monuments, including synagogues and the Old Jewish Cemetery, which is one of the largest Jewish cementeries in the world.

3. Franz Kafka Museum

Here you find a museum completely dedicated to Franz Kafka, a famous Czech author. At the Franz Kafka museum you learn about both the life and the works of the author. Objects in the museum include letters, photographs, videos, drawings, and most of the first editions of Kafka's works.

4. DOX Center for Contemporary Art

The DOX Center for Contemporary Art is the place for contemporary art while you are in city and one the best museums in Prague. You find here a large number of changing temporary exhibitions, but also performances, workshops, concerts, discussions, readings, and film screenings.

You can learn about the city of Prague in numerous ways, but there is no place where you can learn about the history of the city in a better, more detailed way than at the City of Prague Museum. The museum offers both permanent, as well as temporary exhibitions that include a diverse set of objects.
