By Dymphe / November 27, 2022

In this article, you can find 6 free things to do in Toronto! Toronto is a great city in Canada with amazing free activities!

Table of Contents

  • 1. Humber Bay
  • 2. Listen to free jazz music
  • 3. Go to a free zoo
  • 4. Go to a free concert
  • 5. Free walking tour
  • 6. Free museums

1. Humber Bay

For the best view of the skyline of Toronto, you can go to Humber Bay!

Furthermore, the Humber Bay Park that is located here is the perfect place for you to relax and enjoy the beautiful nature.

2. Listen to free jazz music

Every Sunday you can go to the Vista Eatery to enjoy some free jazz music.

The place is located at Ontario Place from which you can overlook Lake Ontario.

While the rest of the week you can also go here for dinner and drinks, on Sunday you get to enjoy some live jazz music for free too!

3. Go to a free zoo

The High Park Zoo is a small zoo in Toronto that you can enter without paying anything.

Here you'll find bison, deer, llamas, and other animals. So if you like animals, this is a very interesting place to visit.

It is located at High Park, the largest park in Toronto which in itself is already a great place to visit for relaxing, jogging, and picnicking (and other things you can do in a park).

4. Go to a free concert

From the end of September to May, you can go to the Richard Bradshaw Amphitheatre to enjoy the Free Concert Series where you can enjoy a free concert featuring a variety of genres (vocal, piano, dance, chamber, world music, and jazz).

Tickets can not be booked in advance, and there is limited seating, so I'd advise coming early.

5. Free walking tour

Want to discover the city of Toronto in a fun way? Then a free walking tour can be something for you! You can check out this page for more information about a free walking tour from Tour Guys!

They offer free walking tours throughout the year leading you through the center of Toronto while seeing the city's amazing sights and through the old town while learning about the history of Toronto.

Furthermore, they offer other types of tours that run only during certain times of the year.

6. Free museums

Some museums in Toronto have certain days and times when you can visit them for free.

For example, the Art Gallery of Ontario can be visited for free every Wednesday evening from 6 to 9 PM, but mind the long queue (you cannot get tickets in advance).

Going to the Art Gallery of Ontario is also one of the best things to do in Toronto.

You can check out the websites of the museums in which you are interested to see if and when you can go there for free!
