1. See a free opera

Every year during summer, the Municipal Opera has some great performances and offers free places for people to enjoy! Free seats are available for every performance and are located in the last nine rows of the outdoor theatre. Furthermore, make sure that you are on time, as those who come first get the places!

2. Go to a museum

For a great museum in St. Louis, head to St. Louis Art Museum! Objects on display here include paintings, sculptures, ancient artifacts and much more from all over the world and all times. 3. Stroll through the City Garden

At the City Garden you can find a beautiful urban park where you can go for a relaxing stroll and at the same time look at the many sculptures. Also, entry is free and the park is open every day of the year! It's one of the most fun free things to do in St, Louis!

4. Discover contemporary art

Go to the Contemporary Art Museum St. Louis for beautiful contemporary art. You'll find here temporary exhibitions that in the past featured artworks by, amog many others, Amy Sherald, Cindy Sherman, and Richard Aldrich. Moreover, the museum has no admission fee, so you can visit it completely for free!

5. Go to a cathedral

The Saint Louis Cathedral is a beautiful cathedral that you should definitely visit when you are in St. Louis. The cathedral has a very interesting history and it has beautiful decorations. Therefore, you should definitely check it out when you are in St. Louis!

6. See animals at the zoo

The Saint Louis Zoo is completely free! Here you can see many animals, such as bears, penguins, hyenas, sharks, and many other animals.

7. Learn about the state's history

At the Missouri History Museum you can learn a lot about the state's history. The collection comprises many objects such as national historical artifacts, colonial artifacts, and objects relating to Missouri and St. Louis. For more information check out the website of the museum! It is not only one of the best free things to do in St. Louis, but also one of the best in general!

8. Tour the Anhueser-Busch Brewery

One of the largest and most famous companies in St. Louis is Anhueser-Busch. It exists since 1852 and you can learn all about it by taking a free tour of the brewery! During the tour you will see how they make the beer, and if allowed by law, you can taste their beer for free.
