1. Taste chocolate for free at the Tony Chocolonely Superstore

At the Tony Chocolonely Superstore, which is located in the city center of Amsterdam, you can taste chocolate for free!

There are many chocolate flavors. You just need to pull the lever and the chocolate will appear! Besides that, you can also buy the chocolate bars you like.

It's a 5-minute walk from Amsterdam Central Station. The exact address is Oudebrugsteeg 15, 1012 JN Amsterdam.

2. Cuddle with cute little goats

At 'Geitenboerderij Ridammerhoeve', you'll see the cutest little goats ever! This is one of the best things to do in Amsterdam.

The 'Geitenboerderij' is located in the Amsterdam Forest and it's totally free!

You can also give the goats some milk to drink. However, you need to pay for the milk.

3. Take the ferry

Behind Amsterdam Central Station, there are ferries that go across the water to several destinations in Amsterdam North!

It's really a fun experience if you'd like to be on a boat and you're in Amsterdam on a budget because the ferry is free!

4. Admire the most famous houses of Amsterdam

When you see photos, paintings or postcards from Amsterdam, most of the time you'll see these famous houses. They are one of the best places for photography in Amsterdam.

Since these houses are very close to Central Station, I would recommend going to them!

The houses are really cute and also very impressive! You can see them when you're at Damrak.

What's great is that because of their location you will definitely see them when you go to Amsterdam.

Even if you are only one day in Amsterdam, you can experience these houses when you walk by.

5. Visit Vondelpark

Vondelpark is the most famous park in Amsterdam and it is an amazing place to spend the day.

You can do several things in Vondelpark.

For example, you can sit on a blanket while enjoying the sun all day, but you could also work out in Vondelpark! It's a very popular place for people who love jogging.

6. Go to a free concert at Concertgebouw

Every week, usually on Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m., you can go to a free lunchtime concert at Concertgebouw.

Most of the time, there is classical music, but there is also more modern music you can listen to.

7. Visit Amsterdam Light Festival

During winter in Amsterdam, there is the Amsterdam Light Festival. It happens in the center of Amsterdam, during which this part of the city is decorated by several light exhibitions.

You can take a route by foot or boat, which is great! This is one of the best things you can do in Amsterdam at night, as you have the best experience then.

8. Go to the national tulip day

During the national tulip day, the tulip season of the Netherlands is officially started.

You can go to Dam Square to see approximately 200,000 tulips and get a free bouquet.

The national tulip day is held on the third Saturday of January.
