1. Go to the National Museum in Warsaw

One of the best museums in Warsaw is the National Museum in Warsaw. At this museum, you can find a collection of almost one million objects!

The collection of the museum is very impressive. You can find many kinds of objects here.

For example, there are sculptures, drawings, prints, photographs, and much more!

Also very interesting to know is that you can see the paintings ordered by theme. Thus, it's not in chronological order.

The paintings from painters from different counties, such as Germany, Italy, and Poland, are also next to each other. So you can actually see the differences and similarities of all works.

This is also the largest museum in Warsaw and it belongs to the largest museums in the country!

Furthermore, it's one of the oldest museums in Warsaw.

The museum exists since 1862. Then, the name of the museum was the Museum of Fine Arts. In 1916, the museum got its current name.

2. Go to the Old Town

Warsaw Old Town is the oldest part of the city. It is really an amazing place to visit, and there is a lot to do and see.

This is one of the most popular places to go to for tourists.

The most central place in Warsaw Old Town is the Old Town Market Place. This is a lovely area where you will find many shops and restaurants.

It's definitely a great place to have dinner if you're in Warsaw!

Furthermore, it's great to admire the beautiful architecture of Warsaw Old Town.

If you're going to explore the streets that surround the Old Town Market Place you will see many beautiful buildings.

You can discover medieval architecture here, which is great. For example, the city walls are very impressive.

The city walls are around the old town. People built them between the 13th century and the 16th century. In the 20th century, people rebuilt the walls.

It's amazing to see the walls and it's and it's a very interesting piece of history!

3. Royal Castle

The Royal Castle is a beautiful castle located on Castle Square. It is at the entrance of the old town of Warsaw.

This castle is a UNESCO World Heritage Site. For a very long time, this castle was the official home of monarchs of Poland.

Many interesting historical events happened at this castle.

For example, the Constitution of 3 May 1792 took place here. This constitution is one of the oldest codified national constitutions. Actually, it's the second-oldest in the whole world!

The construction of the Royal Castle started in 1598 and it was ready in 1619. But, reconstruction was necessary and that happened between 1971 and 1984.

Nowadays, there's a museum and about 500,000 people visit it each year.

So it's a very interesting place to visit if you want to learn about history. And it's also interesting if you like seeing architecture.

4. Wilanów Palace

Wilanów Palace is a very beautiful royal palace that you should definitely see.

The construction of the palace started in 1677 and the palace was ready in 1696. People originally built the palace for King John III Sobieski.

The palace had no damage during Poland's partitions and the first and second World Wars.

Thus, it's now a very important piece of history of the culture of Poland before these things happened.

The palace also has a museum. This exists since 1805. This museum gets about 3 million visitors per year! That's very impressive.

5. Castle Square

Castle Square is an ancient square. Next to the square, you can find the Royal Castle.

This is a very popular place to go to for both tourists and people who live in Warsaw.

The square has a bit the form of a triangle. Furthermore, around the square, you can see ancient townhouses.

6. Attend a classical music concert

Warsaw is known for its classical music, most of all because of the famous composer Chopin!

There are many places where you can listen to the music of Chopin. This is also one of the best things to do in Warsaw.

For example, at the Fryderyk Chopin Museum, you can listen to recitals from young artists every Thursday!

7. Warsaw University Library Garden

In 2002, the Warsaw University Library Garden opened.

From here, you can have a beautiful view of Warsaw.

The designer of the garden is Irena Bajerska. She is a landscape architect.

If you love beautiful nature, then going here is one of the best things to do in Warsaw.

The walls of the library are green, which is very beautiful. Furthermore, there are many beautiful plants.

Also, it's fun that if you walk in the garden, you don't notice that it's on a rooftop.

8. Get the best view over the city

The best place to see the city from above is the Palace of Culture and Science, which is an old building from the soviet-era in Poland.

Furthermore, it has a height of 237 meters, and you can go all the way to the top!

9. St Anne’s Church

St Anne’s Church is a very beautiful church in Warsaw. The construction of the church started in 1454.

It is next to Castle Square.

This is one of the most famous churches in Poland with a Neoclassical style.

Furthermore, it's also one of the oldest buildings in Warsaw!

Through the years, there were several reconstructions that took place.

The last reconstruction took place in 1788. So, that's how the church looks nowadays.
