You can find some amazing museums in Mexico City.

But which ones are the best? Here, I will provide you with information on which museum to choose for your next visit to this city in Mexico.

Table of Contents

  • 2. Museo Soumaya
  • 3. Palacio de Bellas Artes
  • 4. Museo Nacional de Antropología
  • 5. Museo Nacional de Arte

1. Museo Universitario de Arte Contemoráneo

The first museum on the list is the Museo Universitario Arte Contemoráneo (or University Museum of Contemporary Art in English).

Here you'll find all kinds of contemporary art.

However, not only are the works in the museum brilliant but also the museum building itself is a great piece of art. This makes your visit to this museum even better. It's amazing to see it if you like architecture.

2. Museo Soumaya

At the Museo Soumaya, you'll find the private collection of Mexico's wealthiest individual, Carlos Slim.

The museum covers thousands of works from all parts of history and all parts of the world.

Art you can find here includes Mexican art, Pre-Hispanic Mesoamerica art, and paintings by European old masters.

It is one of the most visited museums in the world and Mexico.

And best of all, the museum can be visited completely for free! Because of that, it is also one of the best free things to do in Mexico City.

It's really one of the best museums in Mexico City, so I'd highly recommend going there!
