How To Get There

You find many stores in this part of the city. This is very convenient when you are going to the city. But it also great to see what stores there are!

Downtown Tampa is also a great place for restaurants in the city. This makes it a place where you'll come more often during your 7 days in Tampa!

This part of the city is also where you find many of the city's museums and venues! You'll visit several of these museums if you follow this itinerary!

Another great thing about Downtown Tampa is that many festivals take place here. If you are going to Tampa, I recommend checking out which events are happening during your visit! Going to a festival here is such a fun experience!

Go to the Henry B. Plant Museum

When you are 7 days in Tampa you have to visit the museums that you can find in the city.

There are several great museums in Tampa that are definitely worth visiting!

One of the best museums in Tampa is the Henry B. Plant Museum.

This is a museum that you can find in the Plant Hall, which in the past was the Tampa Bay Hotel.

This museum is all about the Gilded Age of tourism in the Tampa Bay Region, and it is about the building itself.

What's great about this museum is that you find here a lot of interactive elements. This means that you can learn about science by doing things yourself.

This is also a very fun museum to visit when you are 7 days in Tampa with kids. Your children will like this museum for sure because of all the interactive exhibits!

Go to the USF Contemporary Art Museum

A great museum that you find next to the Museum of Science and Industry is the USF Contemporary Art Museum.

Day 3: A Special Day During 7 Days in Tampa

Let's start with the third day! Today is going to be a special day. First, you're going to the Big Cat Rescue. After that, it's time to relax at Ben T. Davis Beach.

This is an animal sanctuary that has exotic cats that it rescued. They help these cats get better.

Enjoy a Day at the Beach at Ben T. Davis Beach

When you are one week in Tampa, you cannot leave without going to the beach!

One of the best beaches that you can find in Tampa is Ben T. Davis Beach.

This is an amazing beach with beautiful white sand and palm trees.

You can find the beach along Courtney Campbell Causeway. This is a road that connects the city to Clearwater.

This park is a very beautiful park to visit.

There are large open fields with grass and there are lovely trees. For example, you find here palm trees that look amazing.

Also, there are many paved walking paths and a lot of areas with shade. This makes it a very comfortable place to visit.

Day 5: A Day Trip During 7 Days in Tampa

On the fifth day, you're going to do a day trip to Clearwater! Clearwater is a lovely place to be.

When you are in Tampa, you should definitely do a day trip to Clearwater.

This is a city that lies to the northwest of Tampa. The total distance from Downtown Tampa is about 25 miles (or 40 kilometers).

You find here a lot of great things to do.

Furthermore, you find here lovely streets that are great for wandering around. And you find many places with incredible views!

Clearwater is also a great place for shopping and for entertainment. For example, there are many festivals that take place in the city throughout the year.

Besides that, Clearwater is a perfect place if you want to spend a day at the beach. That's why the next activity of this itinerary for one week in Tampa is going to the beach!

Go to Clearwater Beach

The most famous thing about the city of Clearwater is Clearwater Beach.

This is one of the best beaches in the United States for sure! Many travel sources rank this beach as the best beach in the country and you can visit it when you are 7 days in Tampa.

You find here beautiful white sand that is incredible to see and to hang out on.

Day 6: Beautiful Places in The City

It's the sixth day of your 7 days in Tampa! Today is going to be a very nice day and you're going to see beautiful things. You're going to walk the Tampa Riverwalk and visit the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park. After that, you're going to see art!

The Tampa Riverwalk is a lovely place in Downtown Tampa that you should definitely visit.

You find the Tampa Riverwalk to the waterfront of Downtown Tampa.

At the riverwalk, you can get a beautiful view of the Hillsborough River.

Also, at the riverwalk, you find a lot of fun things to do and see!

There are lots of places that are great for food when you are here!

Also, you can go here for a relaxing walk along the riverwalk. And, you rent a bike and discover the riverwalk by bike.

The riverwalk has a total length of about 2.7 miles (or 4.3 kilometers).

Go to Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park

Now, I recommend going to the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

This is another great park that you should go to during your one week in Tampa!

You find the park next to the Hillsborough River in Downtown Tampa.

The park is next to the Tampa Riverwalk as well, which makes this a very convenient place to visit!

The place features great nature. There are many trees, fields of grass, and flowers at the Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park.

Also, there are fountains and other facilities at the park.

For example, when you go here with kids, you can make use of the playground at this park.
