1. Get a view of the city

For a great panoramic view of the city, go to Libby Hill Park.

It is a beautiful park, but the view is really amazing as well!

Also, it is a very old park that was created about 175 years ago and there are many monuments in the park.

2. See art for free

Another one of the most fun free things to do in Richmond is to see art for free.

For a great museum in Richmond, make sure to see the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts.

It is a museum where you can find a large collection of art from all around the world, including African art, American art, Asian art, and art from many other places.

3. Artspace

Artspace is a contemporary art gallery in Richmond for visual and performing arts and you can visit it for free!

4. Walk along the river

When you want to relax while you are in Richmond, go to the James River and walk the Canal Walk!

It is a great route along the river specifically made for walking and cycling.

Also, you will find here street art, restaurants, and several historical elements.

5. Tour the Virginia State Capitol

You can enjoy a guided tour of the Virginia State Capitol for free 7 days per week.

Here you learn more about the government of Virginia and the building in which it is located.

There is no permanent collection, but there are many temporary exhibitions throughout the year that are very good.
