By Dymphe / November 7, 2022

Looking for free things to do in Orlando, United States? In this article, you'll find a list of the best things that you can do without spending anything!

So if you are on a budget in Orlando, this is the article for you!

Table of Contents

  • 1. Go see a botanical garden
  • 2. See the city’s skyline
  • 3. Attend a free walking tour
  • 4. Free entertainment at Disney Springs
  • 5. See some free fine art
  • 6. Visit free music concerts
  • 7. See a free movie
  • 8. Go to free art galleries

1. Go see a botanical garden

At the Harry P. Leu Gardens you'll find a very large tropical garden with many plants and lakes. This place is incredible to visit if you love nature.

The diversity of the flora is really great!

You can enjoy the beautiful nature here while walking through the garden.

And best of all, it is completely free!

2. See the city’s skyline

For the best view of the city's skyline go to Lake Eola!

It is located in the beautiful Lake Eola Park, so not only will you get a great view, but you can also relax in the beautiful nature there.

3. Attend a free walking tour

To experience the history and culture of Orlando in the best way, you should attend a free walking tour.

One of the best tours I would recommend is the 'Downtown Historic Tour' since it is held in the center of the city!

During the tour, you will explore the city with a local guide.

4. Free entertainment at Disney Springs

Disney Springs offers a lot of free entertainment.

Firstly, there are many live performances by musicians, dancers, and much more!

Also, you often find here expositions and many other entertaining things. You can check out the list of experiences on the website of Disney Springs.

5. See some free fine art

At Cornell Fine Arts Museum you'll find a collection of thousands of objects.

Looking for contemporary art? Or looking for paintings by the old European Masters? Or something else? Then you are in the right place at the Cornell Fine Arts Museum because there is such a great variety (albeit not that large)!

Furthermore, the museum has no admission fee! In short, it's a great free place to go!

6. Visit free music concerts

For free music head to Casa Feliz! Every Sunday afternoon from noon to 3 PM you can find here a free concert with live music.

Also, you can tour the historic house for free! However, donations are appreciated.

7. See a free movie

To enjoy a free movie, go to Popcorn Flicks in the Park by Enzian (very close to Orlando).

Here you'll find classic films that are enjoyable for the whole family in the beautiful Central Park.

The free event almost always takes place on the second Thursday of each month and starts at 7 or 8 PM, but may start later.

8. Go to free art galleries

At CityArts you'll find a large collection of art galleries displaying both local and international works of art.

Every month the galleries change what's on display, so each time you visit Orlando there will be something new!

The galleries can be seen almost every day of the year (except on Mondays).
