1. Go to Central Park

Go to maybe the most famous park in the world, Central Park.

Especially during summer, Central Park is the perfect place to be!

The park is located right in the middle of New York City. You can walk, relax, or work out here. It's amazing if you love nature.

This is also one of the best things to do in New York City.

2. Go to a free comedy show

There are a lot of free comedy shows where you can enjoy some of the funniest comedy acts.

It's really a great experience and I'd highly recommend going to one while you're in New York City!

3. Go to a free museum

There are so many museums in New York City! Of these, there are many free ones.

For example The Bronx Museum of the Arts, the African Burial Ground Memorial Site, the BRIC House, the American Folk Art Museum, and many more!

It's a great activity and you'll learn more about the city and many other interesting subjects.

4. Walk along the High Line

The High Line is a public park that is created in the location of a former elevated railroad.

You can walk along the park for 2.33 km / 1.45 miles. The park is very popular and attracts millions of visitors annually.

5. Walk along the city with a free walking tour

There are so many free walking tours to choose from.

From walks focused on specific areas of the city to walks focused on food, it's there.

A list of free tours can be found on this page. The walks can be enjoyed for free, as you only pay for what you like. But I'd recommend tipping!

6. Enjoy music during SummerStage

During Central Park SummerStage you can enjoy all kinds of music from all around the world.

The festival takes place in Central Park and several other parks around the city. And best of all, it is free to enjoy for everyone!
