1. Listen to free music

For free live jazz music, you should really go to Jazz in the Park at Cathedral Square Park in downtown Milwaukee.

Here you find regular outdoor concerts during the summer months.

2. Visit the Basilica of St. Josephat

You can see a beautiful basilica when you go to the Basilica of St. Josephat. Both the inside and the outside of thebasilica look very beautiful. This is incredible if you like architecture.

Also, the basilica has a very interesting rich history! So, you should definitely go here when you are in Milwaukee.

3. Head to the museum

Every Thursday of the month, several museums in Milwaukee offer admission without a fee.

One of the best museums is the Milwaukee Art Museum.

The collection of this museum includes almost 25,000 objects, ranging from paintings to prints to drawings, there is so much to see here!

Another great museum is the Milwaukee Public Museum.

Here you can find a museum dedicated to natural and human history, with a great collection. In short, when you are on a budget, you should definitely not miss out on these museums!

4. Go to the zoo

Most zoos are not free to visit, but the Milwaukee County Zoo isn't one of those.

The Milwaukee County Zoo can be visited completely for free.

You find here many different types of animals, including fish, birds, mammals, amphibians, and reptiles. On the zoo's website, you can get more practical information on the zoo.

5. Walk along the river

For a great walk in Milwaukee, you should walk the Milwaukee Riverwalk.

During this walk, you will go along the river Milwaukee River, which is a great experience.

Not only is it a very fun route with many restaurants and other venues along the way, but it also is very relaxing to do!
