Sorrento isn't a very famous place, but there are lots of reasons why you should visit Sorrento, Italy! In this article, you'll read why.

1. There is a beautiful viewpoint that is easily accessible

Most beautiful views take a long hard climb. But that isn't the case in Sorrento. Sorrento has a very beautiful viewpoint that is easily accessible.

From the center of the city, you only have to walk for 20 minutes. Then, you reach a gorgeous viewpoint. From there you can see the city, the port and the sea. The view is gorgeous!

2. It’s the perfect place to stay to explore the Amalfi Coast

Sorrento is surrounded by cute villages of the Amalfi Coast. There are direct buses to Positano and Amalfi. Furthermore, it doesn't take long to get there.

I'd especially recommend doing a day trip to Positano when you're in Sorrento. It is a gorgeous town and there are many photo spots in Positano.

That's very convenient if you want to see more of Italy. Even though the Amalfi Coast is great, there are many other cities in Italy you should see!

3. Pizza and pasta

For all pizza and pasta lovers, Sorrento is the perfect place to be! Since Sorrento is in Italy, the cuisine is excellent. There are many lovely restaurants serving pizza and pasta here!

A great restaurant in Sorrento is Da Gigino. I had the most delicious pizza there. Furthermore, the waiters were very nice and the food came very fast!

4. Boutiques

Another reason why you should visit Sorrento is the presence of Boutiques. Sorrento has a lot of cute little boutiques selling handmade items.

There are all kinds of lemon-related products, as the region is famous for its lemons! So if you like boutiques, then visiting Sorrento is great!
